abulance2.jpgA woman involved in a car accident on Interstate 95 on December 26 continues to hope that she can soon be reunited with her four-legged companion, a seven-year-old border collie mix, that escaped the scene. The woman was driving home with her dog to Raleigh when she was rear-ended in a traffic jam on I-95 near Dunn. Her truck was forced into the opposing lanes and rolled several times until it came to a stop on its roof. The dog managed to escape the vehicle as people came to their rescue. The woman hopes her companion is safe and healthy, as she has been an "inside" dog her whole life. A group of volunteers are helping to spread flyers in Harnett and Johnson Counties in hopes of rescuing the dog and returning her back to her owner.
