According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, one person is dead, and a police officer and another person were injured in a crash on Sunday night. Apparently, the police cruiser was rear-ended when attempting to make a left turn. That collision caused the officer to go left of center and hit an oncoming minivan head-on.
