State Troopers have started a two-day campaign to crack down on distracted driving. In 2009, the North Carolina General Assembly gave police officers the power to ticket drivers who are seen texting and driving. While this law has helped deter some distracted driving, there are still other distractions which create a danger while driving such as eating and adjusting the radio.
